“Do you need to wear your sun-glasses all evening?” Kayanne jumped down the motorhome step onto dew dampened grass, spoke to her husband's broad back whilst he double locked the door.

“Depends,” he turned, pocketed the keys in black jeans, “if there's bright lights I will. You got those tickets?”

“Yep,” she patted her middle and Nick frowned.

“You've eaten them?”

Rolling her eyes heavenwards, Kayanne unknotted the waist-tied checked shirt and yanked up the short black tee shirt beneath to reveal her flesh coloured money belt. “They're in here.”

“Lord, that thing's such a turn-on,” Nick's words broke with amusement, “don't flash it around, for God's sake.” It was hard to contain his laughter when Kayanne shot him a disgusted look and he added, “You'd better give me those tickets, I don't want you getting the male population of Juniper Falls worked up.”

Neatly, she flipped the tickets into his palm, her words soft, “There's only one man I want to get worked up.”

That took care of Nick's amusement, colour stained his cheeks, and he dragged his eyes from her tantalising form as she re-tied the checked shirt at her waist. I'm not that man, his mind shouted.

“You ready?” His tone harsh, “We'll be late.”

“Sure am!”

He flicked on a small outside light over the door to light their way home, made his way through the dense woods and wondered if Kayanne was capable of bearing a real good grudge against him.

“Do you realise, this is our first real night time date as newlyweds?”

“Sure is.” Nick moved aside, let Kayanne step up onto the narrow, winding, worn track leading up to the road. Big mistake.

There was something undeniably sexy about her trim, jeans clad rear, two of his belts slung low and loose around her hips, carelessly achieving a cowgirl effect.

“I love it here,” Kayanne shot him a smile, her eyes revelling in the masculine beauty of her husband. Clad in black denim shirt and jeans, a white tee shirt peeping at the neck, accentuating the new, light tan and his shadow darkened skin. The big, benevolent moon's rays glanced off his shining black, wavy hair.

“You cold?”

“A bit.” Her unsure smile saw him put an arm around her shoulder, rub her upper arm.

“Nearly there.” Lanterns strung outside the low building, a wide banner declaring: End of season shindig! Food and drink; Greg Gower Band live; country music. Ticket only entrance.

The two door-women wore astounding maroon, black trimmed old Western saloon type dresses, tall feathers artfully perched in piled hair.

“Wow, you look great!” Kayanne couldn't keep from bursting out, at the same time she wondered if the dark haired woman with the gravity defying cleavage was ever going to let go of her husband's hand. Did she really need to do that to get the tickets off him?

“Don't I know you, stranger?” She breathed, and Kayanne was eternally grateful there was a hip level table between her husband and this piranha.

“Maybe.” Nick's flat response.
